This is a view out of one of my friends student halls in Cardiff’s city centre. This actually sums up Cardiff to me as it’s over looking the city. Personally this is a ‘typical city view’ as it shows traffic and busy people, as well as a train track. The Cardiff International Arena, or CIA holds memories for me as I’ve been there to see Blink 182, Incubus and Madness. The CIA is usually where the ‘bigger’ bands play when they come to Cardiff and through experience it isn’t very often sort after bands even ‘bother’ coming to Wales. I think the fact that the weather is dull and miserable reflects Wales.

This image is of the stage when Capdown did their last tour supported by The King Blues at Clwb ifor bach which translates as ‘little ivory‘s club and known to non-welsh speakers as ‘the welsh club‘ which is located at 11 Womanby Street, Cardiff.
Clwb ifor bach came about in the 1970s it was founded by Owen John Thomas, a Welsh politician. It is actually named after a local rebel (ifor bach), fighting about the English rule during the 12th centaury.
The club used to follow a strict rule of members-only and the only people membership was granted for were those who could speak the Welsh launage. This rule was changed in the 1990’s yet during international rugby games Clwb Ifor Bach tends to be a members-only to be loyal to the members and avoid disappointment.
Not only were the rules changed in the 90s but the place got a make-over, it has three floors, of different sizes yet they all contain a stage, dance floor and a bar.
Musically it has played a big part in Cardiff’s music scene. There is often up and coming welsh bands performing in the club. Clwb ifor bach also holds different nights for different genres of music, for example reggae and hip-hop nights.
When finding out about the history behind clwb ifor bach I thought it was actually quite interesting as coming from Wales I can speak Welsh yet most people I’ve met who are from Cardiff can’t speak no welsh what so ever.
This image sums up Cardiff to me as the gig was amazing and as it was Capdowns last ever gig in Wales on their last tour ever it holds good memories for me.

Despite this being an ‘obvious’ image of Cardiff, it is how most people get to and from Cardiff. It’s the Cardiff Central railway station translated into welsh as Caerdydd Canolog. South Wales Railway opened the station in 1850, before 1973 it was known as Cardiff general. It’s the largest station in Wales. Without including London, it’s the 6th busiest station in the UK. I took this photo whilst I was standing on the platform waiting for my train home. When I return to Cardiff I always know it‘s ‘home‘ when I see that sign so that‘s why this image symbolises Cardiff to me.

Paris Hilton Vs Bansky.

Paris Hilton targeted in CD prank
Hundreds of Paris Hilton albums have been tampered with in the latest stunt by "guerrilla artist" Banksy.
Banksy has replaced Hilton's CD with his own remixes and given them titles such as Why am I Famous?, What Have I Done? and What Am I For?
He has also changed pictures of her on the CD sleeve to show the US socialite topless and with a dog's head.
A spokeswoman for Banksy said he had doctored 500 copies of her debut album Paris in 48 record shops across the UK.
She told the BBC News website: "He switched the CDs in store, so he took the old ones out and put his version in."
But he left the original barcode so people could buy the CD without realising it had been interfered with.
Banksy is notorious for his secretive and subversive stunts such as sneaking doctored versions of classic paintings into major art galleries.
His spokeswoman said he had tampered with the CDs in branches of HMV and Virgin as well as independent record stores.
He visited cities including Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and London, she added.
A spokesman for HMV said the chain had recovered seven CDs from two Brighton shops but was unaware that other locations were affected.
Artistic leeway
No customers had complained or returned a doctored version, he said.
"It's not the type of behaviour you'd want to see happening very often," he said.
"I guess you can give an individual such as Banksy a little bit of leeway for his own particular brand of artistic engagement.
"Often people might have a view on something but feel they can't always express it, but it's down to the likes of Banksy to say often what people think about things.
"And it might be that there will be some people who agree with his views on the Paris Hilton album."
A spokesman for Virgin Megastores said staff were searching for affected CDs but it was proving hard to find them all.
"I have to take my hat off - it's a very good stunt," he added.

abrahams point!

Abrahams point
I was an extra in Mckenzie crooks new film. it actually did just involve standing around for hours and re-shooting every scene about 50 million times and I can now see why actors complain about the long hours but it was still good fun!!! Stuart Cable and his band were also there! woo
"Mackenzie Crook, star of BBC comedy The Office, is to take the lead role in a film being shot in Wales this summer.
Crook is already appearing in the forthcoming second Pirates of the Caribbean sequel alongside Johnny Depp.
Now Abraham's Point will see him go on an journey from London to west Wales in a struggle to overcome a family tragedy which has haunted him since his youth.
He will follow Hollywood stars Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller, who are currently filming in Wales.
The movie is one of four which have won backing from the Film Agency for Wales.
Cardiff, the Brecon Beacons, the Vale of Glamorgan and Pembrokeshire are all included as locations.
Absolutely delighted
Crook was a long-standing star of the stand-up comedy circuit before he emerged Gareth, the Territorial Army-obsessed assistant manager, alongside Ricky Gervais in The Office.
Abraham's Point is being written and directed by Wyndham Price and produced by the first company to be spun out of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
Mr Price said they were "absolutely delighted" to be working with Crook on the film which will be unveiled at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
"Abraham's Point is a classic tale with an epic conclusion that will be shot on the beaches of Pembrokeshire.
"Although often funning, the film has the feel of a thriller and is an emotionally gripping story that results in liberation," he said.

The actor was one of the main figures in The Office
"The elements of thriller, western and comedy along with the incredible emotional instability of the main character is what drew Mackenzie Crook to the film which is made up of a fantastic cast of rogues and angels."
Abraham's Point is sharing £800,000 of funding from the agency which said it has a great mix of films ranging from low budget art house films to big budget mainstream movies on its books.
Among those also awarded is Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys, who is making a feature "rockumentary" intertwining the Welsh colonisation of Patagonia in Argentina with a solo tour of south America.
And Justin Kerrigan, of Human Traffic fame, has also been given financial backing for his coming of age drama I Know You Know which is due to be filmed in Cardiff this summer.
The road to Wales for filmmakers is well trodden with Hollywood and Bollywood producers choosing its scenery as a backdrop.
